Dr Billiart Tapesana

Billiart is a medical doctor with 10 years’ experience in the medical field, transitioning from being a clinical practitioner to a public health professional. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree (MBChB) from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from Umeå University in Sweden. He joined Zvandiri in October 2021 having previously worked for J.F Kapnek Trust, Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) and PSI-Zimbabwe.

Billiart is the Head of Programmes for the USAID and ZHI-ACCE grants and is passionate about contributing to the attainment of HIV epidemic control in Zimbabwe and globally. He is responsible for the effective planning and implementation of Zvandiri’s projects under USAID and ZHI-ACCE, ensuring that project reporting and deliverables are completed within the set time frames.
