Vivian Chitiyo is a public health professional with more than 10 years’ experience in the design, implementation and dissemination of operational and implementation science research, strategic information, and evaluation in the field of HIV and associated health conditions. She is a strong advocate of the application of scientific-evidence and data driven outputs to optimize the utilization of innovative strategies related to the prevention, care and treatment of HIV in Zimbabwe.
Vivian is responsible for providing Zvandiri with technical leadership in generating knowledge and evidence from its Zvandiri programme to enhance performance and to demonstrate the impact of the Zvandiri programme in improving outcomes among children, adolescents and young people living with HIV. She is also tasked with effective generation, packaging and dissemination of programme knowledge and technical evidence for learning and information, decision making and policy improvement/adaptation. Vivian studied Statistics at the University of Zimbabwe and is a holder of an MPhil in Demography from the University of Cape Town.
