Freddy Chidhindi joined Zvandiri in 2008 and brings many years of experience, dedication and heart for Zvandiri. He is one of the 10 young people who pioneered the Community Adolescent Treatment Supporter (CATS) Initiative in 2009. He was a dedicated Community Adolescent Treatment Supporter (CATS) in Chitungwiza district from 2009 to 2013, when HIV testing services, care and support services were first emerging, but due to misconceptions and stigma surrounding HIV, young people living with HIV wanted more, to cope with their HIV status.
Freddy has played a huge role in supporting his peers to connect and learn from each other at Zvandiri. Today, Freddy is a young married man, who is blessed with a daughter. He is a self-employed certificate holder of motor mechanics, a dancehall artist (Mr. Aytal Fredman), whose love and passion for young people living with HIV continues to grow. He is now the Zvandiri PAB Coordinator.
