Dephine Onaishe Mpala

Dephine is from Karoi in Hurungwe district and is the last born in a family of three. Her parents passed away when she was 3 years old. Some would say Dephine is talkative but she says she speaks where it’s necessary. Dephine is a member of the Peer Advisory Board representing Mashonaland West and describes the board as helping her become a strong, confident and courageous young woman. She meets different people through her work and believes strongly that disability does not mean inability; she is living testimony to that. Through her advocacy work Delphine strives to help people understand that the problems we face today ‘must not paralyze us, but give us strength to fight for a better tomorrow.’
