Phyllis currently works as a Psychologist at Zvandiri. Over the last few years Phyllis has tackled personal and professional challenges, taking her on a path from Community Adolescent Treatment Supporter to Zvandiri intern, Mentor and now thriving in her role as a Psychologist. Throughout this journey she has demonstrated her passion and capacity as a strong role model for her peers and colleagues. She is committed to ensuring that her peers do not face delays in accessing HIV testing or being initiated on HIV treatment and that they were then linked into community services.
Phyllis’ rich background includes being a DREAMS Ambassador and participating in a series of World Health Organisation country level Paediatric and Adolescent HIV meetings conducted in 22 priority countries. She advocates for the needs of adolescent girls and young women living with HIV, supporting the mission to eliminate Mother to Child Transmission of HIV, and is a regular speaker at international conferences. Phyllis also participated in the Washington based OVC Task Force meeting. Phyllis holds a BSc in Psychology Honors from Midlands State University.
